Q – Can I buy my own ATM and keep all of the money?

A – Yes, you can. But be careful. Some sellers will want to charge you a transaction fee on every transaction and will require a long-term contract for processing. In addition you will be responsible for providing and loading the cash in the machine and for all necessary repairs and maintenance. You will probably also need to do your own installation of the ATM and phone line. You might want to check with your insurance carrier to see if the ATM and cash can be covered.

Q – If I decide to buy my own ATM isn’t the internet the best place to get it?

A – Not necessarily. We will make every attempt to match prices with on-line vendors and will provide you some valuable services in addition. We will install your ATM, take care of the processor setup, and program your machine. And, we will arrange to have your transaction processing done FREE. You will not pay per-transaction fees when you elect to source your new ATM through us and have us arrange the processing.

Q – What about leasing?

A – Sure. And our rates are very competitive. Assuming that there are no credit issues, we will be happy to provide leasing quotes.

Q – If I don’t want to own my own ATM, can you provide one for me? How does that work?

A – We can do what the ATM industry calls a placement. Very simply, CommLink will buy an ATM and place it in your business. In a full placement, we furnish and load the cash for the vault. We can also do a placement where we provide the ATM and you provide and load the cash. In any case, we will be responsible for maintenance, service, and supplies. If your business meets some minimal requirements we will also insure the ATM and the vault cash. You will receive a per-transaction commission.

Q - What kind of a surcharge fee can we charge?

A – That will depend on your location. The average fee charged in a retail store or hospitality location is about $2.00. Part of our service is an evaluation of your location and a suggestion of a competitive surcharge.

Q – If we have you place the machine how much of the surcharge will we get as a commission?

A – This will depend on the several factors. For example, if you furnish and load the vault cash you will receive a greater share of the surcharge. And, generally speaking, the higher the volume of transactions, the larger your share will be.

Q – Do you provide ATMs for special events?

A – Yes, we do. We will need some notice to make sure we have available units and we will want to evaluate the event. We prefer events which have lots of people and requirements for them to spend cash. Please call us to discuss your event.
